Are CatfishNumr or SocialCatfish Results More Recent and Accurate?
CatfishNumr’s results were more up-to-date and accurate. I used my European friend’s number in both cases so that I could confirm the details.
I picked the country code, copied and pasted the number in the search bar, and hit Search. The results took a few minutes – I was happy with the speed!
CatfishNumr found their real name, photos, social media accounts, and the kind of line/carrier linked to the phone number. The info was recent as well.
SocialCatfish’s report was decent, too, but some of my friend’s details came up wrong, which is interesting since they’ve been using the same number for ages.
The two most important details were incorrect: The name and type of number. I saw others complaining about SocialCatfish not being the most accurate.
I tried it again with my American phone number, and what do you know…it worked. Some outdated info was present, but the name was there.
Where Do CatfishNumr and SocialCatfish Fall Short?
CatfishNumr falls short in its lack of long-term plans, while SocialCatfish’s high price points make it inaccessible to some users. Both are intentional, however.

This service works well with +1 numbers, but not international numbers. I had to make a SocialCatfish account too, which I wasn’t too thrilled about.
The results take 5 minutes or more, and they are a bit inconclusive because of missing key details. You cannot view the report without paying.
The customer support isn’t the best either, and I had a hard time canceling my subscription.
❌ CatfishNumr Cons:
Similar to SocialCatfish, you can’t see the full CatfishNumr report without paying, but at least you don’t have to cough up 36 bucks for it.
Also, CatfishNumr’s pay-per-search system is for individual use, so unless you’re reverse-searching up to 5 numbers, it is a little inconvenient.
You may not get all the fancy features SocialCatfish offers, but if you’re looking to find an unknown caller’s real name and details, you don’t need them.
