Are CatfishNumr or WhitePages Results More Recent and Accurate?
During my experiment, I was satisfied with the results in both cases – they were accurate and fast. But CatfishNumr’s number data was more precise.
The CatfishNumr report was very easy to read and neatly organized:
The CatfishNumr number lookup tool managed to find the real first & last name of the owner, as well as their location, line type, and carrier company.
✅ That’s all I needed, but CatfishNumr took it a step further by including the socials and other accounts linked to the phone number I looked up.
I like the extensive details found – the phone number activity info comes in handy when deciding if a caller is legit or just annoying spam.
The WhitePages results were just as impressive:

WhitePages pulled out a lot of number details, and not just basics. I’m talking birthday, various addresses and relatives, and associated numbers/accounts.
However, there were too many irrelevant results, and some of them weren’t correct. I decided to give the free WhitePages a go, too, and this is how it went: 👇
The free results showed only the carrier, rough location, and line type, even though it promises names, too. I wasn’t expecting much since it’s…well, free.
Where Do CatfishNumr and WhitePages Fall Short?
Both tools have their cons. Starting with CatfishNumr, this reverse number search service falls short when it comes to pricing options.
I know it’s built for personal use and not business integration, but having more plans to choose from will help make the tool more inclusive.
Suggestions for CatfishNumr: Weekly/monthly subscriptions or bulk number lookup credits tailored for both casual searchers and company owners.
👉 WhitePages Cons: Registration is required. I had heard the site is wonky outside of the US, so I used a European connection – I couldn’t sign up.
As for the results, WhitePages mixed a random person’s info. I thought it was strange. I went to TrustPilot to see what others were saying… and I was shocked.
Much like ClarityCheck, some people were lured to pay for premium on WhitePages and got incorrect info, or the same details from the free report.
Some people got no results at all (or extremely outdated ones), and some had their own info, such as emails, listed in other numbers’ reports. Scary stuff.
Even those who paid for a long-term plan had to pay extra for the full data. To make matters worse, some users who were overcharged or hacked didn’t even receive refunds.
