SpyDialer and USPhoneBook are two reverse-search services used by people to identify US phone number owners and their credibility.
The internet isn’t big enough for the both of them. One of these tools has to outperform the other, and we’re about to find out which!

What’s the Difference Between SpyDialer and USPhoneBook?
From what I could tell during my experiment, the differences between SpyDialer and USPhoneBook are technical: mostly features and the type of data found.
🧩SpyDialer finds concise information, mainly the type that helps you identify unknown callers and whether they’re a risk or not.
The service is accessible in regions outside the US; however, you can use it to find details on American numbers only, unlike CatfishNumr’s global availability.
I find SpyDialer a tiny bit more safety-forward because of its elaborate user reports and voicemail function.
📘 USPhoneBook casts a wide net for more details on callers and even redirects users to third parties, like Spokeo, to continue their search there.
Additionally, I think USPhoneBook works best for people inside of the USA.
SpyDialer vs. USPhoneBook: Comparing Features
USPhoneBook has more features that cover identity ground; you’ll see more than a number owner’s name and address.
🤔 USPhoneBook Number ID Features:
1. Phone Number Validator: Who’s the owner, and what’s the carrier and line?
2. Personal Info: What’s their name and age? See photos and acquaintances.
3. Owner’s History: What are their previous/current addresses and numbers?
4. Neighborhood Details: Their home details, market trends, and community.
5. API: For real-time data and caller ID, USPhoneBook’s partner API is available.
6. Phone Number Directory: Which US area is the number calling you from?

⚔️ Safety Features: USPhoneBook has a built-in reporting system in which you can check numbers’ spam/fraud potential score. It advertises itself as a go-to free tool for online users to protect themselves from unknown callers.
☎️ What Features Does SpyDialer Have?
SpyDialer’s features are mainly used to identify a phone number’s owner and telco data, so you might see the following details:
- First & last name
- Profile photo
- Address
- Carrier company
- Phone number type (mobile, landline, VoIP, etc.)
🔊 What caught my attention was SpyDialer’s Voicemail feature, which lets people hear a short snippet of the number holder’s voicemail.
The user reports let you read what others are saying about the number. Phone Spam, on the other hand, shows you the spam score percentage.

– Both SpyDialer and USPhoneBook have other search methods with which you can find people by name and address (email as well in SpyDialer’s case).
Which Has Better Pricing: SpyDialer or USPhoneBook?
Both phone search tools have decent pricing since they’re free, but USPhoneBook has optional payment plans if you want extra results.
SpyDialer is free for the most part. You have the option to take the search over to the Intelius people-search service for a $0.95 trial, but it’s not mandatory.
USPhoneBook is similar. It can be used for free, but if you want to unlock more reports and longer, in-depth results from third-party apps, you have to pay.
For instance, if you transfer the number lookup report to Spokeo, you have to pay for one of Spokeo’s plans: $19.95/mo for 1 month or $14.95/mo for 3 months.
– Should you pay for a free number lookup tool?
You don’t have to, but “free” services sometimes promise deeper results for a price. In USPhoneBook, paying gets you intel on criminal records, social media accounts, assets, etc.
Are SpyDialer or USPhoneBook Results More Recent and Accurate?
Both tools were accurate, and the info was recent. I tested the same US phone number with both of them, but USPhoneBook generated more results!
1. Let’s start with SpyDialer’s report first:

SpyDialer found the essentials of the number I searched: the real full name, address, and carrier & line. On top of that, I could view the spam report, too.
It took 5 mins. for SpyDialer to do its magic, but the info was accurate, so I’m not too mad about it. My impatient self is used to faster tools like CatfishNumr.
2. Next, the USPhoneBook results:

I was shocked at the number of details found. USPhoneBook not only verified the caller’s identity, but also associated people as well. Overkill? Maybe.
The USPhoneBook report also dug up their aliases, age, address history, phone number details (even old ones), and emails.
⁉️ Were the SpyDialer and USPhoneBook reports consistent with each other?
Yes! I blurred the details for privacy reasons, but the results found by both tools contained the same name, address, and telco info.
Where Do SpyDialer and USPhoneBook Fall Short?
SpyDialer and USPhoneBook could be faster and more accurate. The important details were all correct, with a few insignificant inconsistencies.
I wish SpyDialer had more features, but considering the fact it’s free, it performed way better than I expected.
The constant ads and page layout were a huge distraction, though. Granted, USPhoneBook had the same issue, minus the loud colors.
🌍 Also, I heard that the USPhoneBook site’s functionality may take a hit if used outside of the US, so I decided to test this theory.
I asked some European friends if they could access it – they couldn’t. They told me the site would glitch, and they’d get stuck in a CAPTCHA loop.
And finally, neither tool found the socials linked to the number, but I liked that I could view the full results without an account. NumLookup devs, take notes.
