Lookify vs. NumLookup

Lookify vs. NumLookup: Which Wins at Phone Number Lookup?

They both aim to pinpoint a number’s location and owner, but Lookify and NumLookup are two different reverse number search tools!

They work differently, don’t have the same global reach, and the results vary. Which number lookup tool is better at ID-ing callers?

The most crucial difference between Lookify and NumLookup is how they find information on the numbers people search for.

1. Lookify

  • Works only for American numbers
  • Registration needed
  • Requires subscribing for maximum efficiency
  • Commonly used by businesses

Lookify is a paid reverse number lookup tool that’s commonly used by tech companies for its API and Integrations. It finds intel only on US numbers.

A free, very limited version of Lookify is available to identify numbers, but users can opt for one of their subscription plans for extra perks.

2. NumLookup

  • Self-sufficient
  • Wider global reach
  • Optional registration
  • Paid and free

The NumLookup service gathers details about an unknown caller from its own database and presents the results without redirecting users anywhere.

It’s available in multiple big countries, with a free and paid version of the tool. To unlock full reports, you’ll have to pay and create an account.

Lookify vs. NumLookup: Comparing Features

numlookup features

Lookify has more features, but NumLookup’s functions are more relevant for reverse number searching. Here’s the breakdown:

– What Features Does Lookify Have?

👥 Caller ID: Name, age, gender, and address.

📶 Number Specifics: Carrier, number type, and service provider.

📞 Contact Info & Socials: Social media and professional profiles.

🚩 Risk Assessment: Numbers’ past owners, reports, and VoIP/Burner status.

🤖 API Access: Integrate Lookify into your platforms to verify and find contacts.

What stands out about Lookify is its Integrability – add it to your apps or tools to identify callers and find people’s contact information more easily.

– What About NumLookup’s Features?

😀 Phone Number Owner: Their name, location, photos, and family.

📱 Number Telco Details: Carrier & line type.

👣 Digital Footprint: Social media, messaging apps, dating accounts, etc.

🌍 Country Code Wheel: Choose the country of the number you’re searching.

⚠️ Number Safety: See if a number is suspicious and read user reports.

NumLookup combines personal data with telco info and risk scoring to identify numbers & whether they’re real or VoIP.

Which Has Better Pricing – Lookify or NumLookup?

Lookify has more pricing plans, and that’s better for people with different needs. Both Lookify and NumLookup have free versions, however.

– Lookify’s free version will hardly give you the info you need – just half reports that include the numbers’ geo and carrier/line details.

Choose one of the paid plans to see the *actually* useful details: the full name, address, and associated accounts.

  • Starter ➡️ $29/mo (500 lookups, no API access or Priority Support).
  • Professional ➡️ $199/mo (4k searches, caller ID + Integration + Support).
  • Enterprise ➡️ 5k/yr (dedicated account manager, higher rate limit, and on-demand quotas).

As you can see, Lookify’s plans were created with companies in mind. The more you pay, the more number lookups and advantages you get.

NumLookup’s pricing is more straightforward: you reverse-search a phone number and get limited data (the name, number type, and carrier) for free.

Even though NumLookup is free, it locks key results, making you sign up to access them. It offers 3 different paid plans that come with their own perks.

  • Premium for $10/mo and 40 searches (no ads).
  • Professional for $20/mo and 80 searches (no ads + fast search).
  • Business for $50/mo and 200 searches (no ads + fast search + Support).

It’s not like the CatfishNumr Lookup Tool, which shows the full list of the correct results even to non-users without extra pay.

Are Lookify or NumLookup Results More Recent and Accurate?

Lookify has more recent and accurate results, but the fact it doesn’t work for non-US numbers is a huge disadvantage.

As cited earlier, the free version of Lookify gives very few results to go off of – when I tested it, I only got data on the number type and carrier.

The paid version, on top of unlocking more features, also generated more results. These are the results for Lookify. 👇

lookify report

I got the caller’s name, photo, age, location, number activity, and more. Paying for Lookify has its good side, since it tells you how safe the number is.

The report mentioned what type of number I was dealing with (VoIP, mobile, or line); however, I noticed that some small details were inaccurate.

The NumLookup Results: I had more wiggle room during my experiment since I could test US and international numbers. This is what NumLookup found. 👇

⁉️ The promised “free” version found nothing. I blurred the US number I used, but the censored name was NumLookup’s doing. It is to be expected since, unlike CatfishNumr’s vast database, NumLookup may cut corners.

The site told me to unlock the Premium Report, which is done by subscribing to one of NumLookup’s paid plans. Anyway, I decided to try a UK number, too.

NumLookup didn’t find the caller’s name, which is the most important piece of information. It only verified the phone number type & carrier

Where Do Lookify and NumLookup Fall Short?

The Lookify and NumLookup number lookup tools fall short in reliability and effectiveness – some results were inaccurate or simply missing.

Starting with Lookify. I think it should broaden its horizons and allow international searches. The US isn’t the only country in the world, after all.

Lookify is stingy with results if you use it for free. You basically get nothing that identifies the number owner, and that makes you want to pay.

The prices on Lookify are pretty high (+$200) unless you’re a successful business owner who reverse-searches numbers often.

Then, NumLookup is a little deceptive with their “No Registration” claims, because unless you sign up and spend money, the report will be subpar.

It’s not too good at verifying numbers, especially non-US ones. When it finds useful details, it teases you by hiding them so that you’re pushed to pay.

Avoid Lookify and NumLookup for high-stakes investigations. If you need to find a caller’s identity, I suggest personalized tools like CatfishNumr!
